(Delta Omega's original house)
Delta Omega was granted their charter on April 30, 1977. At that time, William Woods had three sororities on campus. With increasing numbers in recruitment each year, WWU soon felt that they needed a fourth sorority on campus. A search began and in January of 1977, recruitment was held for Delta Gamma using the women of Mu chapter from the University of Missouri. Our charter was granted on April 30, 1977 after a very successful colonization and initiation. This was the first all womens' campus that a Delta Gamma charter had been granted. Since then, the women of Delta Omega have moved from Harmon Hall to the newer sorority facilities, sharing a complex with Chi Omega.
